Free Kanji Course – lesson twelve

Welcome to the eleventh lesson of our free online kanji course! With the help of carefully selected resources that are freely available online, we are going to remember all the kanji you need for JLPT level 5. Before we start with this lesson, let’s review all the kanji from the previous lessons! Do you still remember all of them? You can use our flash cards to help you in your learning journey.

Meaning: Cheap, Peace, Safety
Onyomi: An [あん]
Kunyomi: Yasu(i) [߿す(i)]
Vocabulary: 安全 – あんぜん – anzen – safety

Meaning: To stand, to establish
Onyomi: Ritsu [ࠅつ]
Kunyomi: Ta(tsu)/Ta(teru) [た(つ)/た(てࠆ)]
Vocabulary: 国立 – こくࠅつ – kokuritsu – Public establishment

This kanji means power, strength, strong, strain, bear up, exert.
Onyomi: リョク、 リキ、 リイ
Kunyomi: ちから

body, substance, object, reality, counter for images
Onyomi: タイ、 テイ
Kunyomi: からだ、 かたち

Meaning: A little, Few
Onyomi: Shou [しょう]
Kunyomi: Suko(shi)/Suku(nai) [すこ(しい)/ すく(ない]
Vocabulary: 少女 – しࠂうじࠂ – shoujo – a young girl
